Prior to joining EHS Partners, Jonathan was a Vice President at The Bellwether Group, a Los Angeles-based merchant bank. His work at TBG involved counseling the senior management and Boards of publicly traded companies on strategies for improving company valuation and performance, as well as working with entrepreneurs to develop business strategies for start-up enterprises and assisting them with raising institutional capital.
Prior to joining Bellwether, Jonathan was a manager of New Ventures for Gateway, Inc., where he evaluated outside venture opportunities and spearheaded strategic growth initiatives for the Company. Jonathan fundamentally altered the way in which Gateway interacts with its customers by closing a nationwide network of underperforming retail stores while expanding into alternate retail channels through the acquisition of eMachines, Inc.
Before joining Gateway, Jonathan was a senior associate in McKinsey & Company's Dallas office, where he specialized in corporate finance and strategic advisory projects for industrial, media, and technology clients worldwide. Jonathan was a leader in the development of McKinsey's basic beliefs about investor relations and developed many of the firm's tools used for understanding financial performance and the impact of investor sentiment on company valuation.
Education
Jonathan earned his B.A. with Special Honors in Government and Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin. He earned his M.P.P. in International Trade & Finance from Harvard University, and is also a graduate of the International Tax Program at Harvard Law School.
