Bill has over 25 years of experience in the global insurance and risk management industries. He has had operating experience as CEO, COO, EVP Corporate Development and as an entrepreneur, spanning the property casualty, life, health, reinsurance and related technology fields. He formerly served as COO of a prominent $1.0+ billion healthcare specialty insurer, CEO of a London-based reinsurance company and President of a U.S.-based Life and Health Insurer.
Bill has worked with some of the world's most innovative technology companies including co-founding a successful Silicon Valley-based, venture-backed healthcare interoperability software company. In this role, he specialized in addressing operating challenges related to the integration of technology and risk management. Bill's financial and transactional experience ranges from venture fundraising to IPOs to the disposition of distressed assets and runoff.
In addition to his affiliation with EHS, Bill continues to serve as a Director of R&Q Reinsurance Company and The Transit Insurance Company. He is also a Director of the Vliet Center in Lake Bluff, Illinois.
Education
Bill earned his B.A. in Economics and German Studies from Stanford University and his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
