BJ Haughey brings more than 30 years of senior leadership experience across the financial services industry, spanning wealth management, banking, and insurance. His career has consistently centered on operating at scale — aligning strategy, technology, operations, and risk management to deliver sustainable business outcomes in complex environments. He has led large, multi-disciplinary organizations through periods of significant transformation, regulatory pressure, and market disruption.
During the financial crisis, BJ played a central leadership role in the integration of Merrill Lynch’s wealth management business into Bank of America — one of the most consequential integrations in the industry’s history. He later served as Chief Operating Officer for Technology and Operations at TIAA, with responsibility for enterprise program management and large-scale modernization efforts. Across his career, BJ has led enterprise simplification initiatives, complex integration efforts, and performance improvement programs involving thousands of employees, multi-billion-dollar operating
budgets, and diverse stakeholder groups including boards, regulators, and executive leadership teams.
Most recently, BJ was a Partner/Principal at EY in the Profit Optimization practice, advising large enterprises on cost transformation, operating model simplification, and value creation. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science. BJ’s work is grounded in disciplined execution, organizational alignment, and practical simplification that drives measurable results.
